Are you a search engine?

NO! We are actual, live people! We do your calling around to hotels and shows, reading customer reviews, countless hours of internet scouring, we call the restaurant you want to go to and make sure they can take you when you want and with all the people you want to bring. As far as the internet goes, we give excellent, human based customer service. We answer your email, we answer your call. You don’t ever have to talk to us by phone if you don’t want to, but you are always more than welcome to call with any questions or concerns. We do most of our communication through email because in most cases it is the most convenient for both parties, and can be done any time of the day or night.

Are you a licensed travel agent?

NO! We are a travel referral service. We do your trip research, based on your needs, and give you the results to make your own decisions. Then, we create your travel itinerary from your selections. You book the final itinerary yourself, with the exception of a few aspects (see package details).

What makes your service different from a travel agent?

We are not licensed travel agents, so we are not authorized to book any portion of a trip that requires payment or travel documentation (hotel, flights, tickets). On the other hand, we do not charge the service fees that most travel agents tack onto your final trip price. On average, expect to pay $25-$30 per airline ticket or hotel booking when dealing with a travel agent, and a hotel and flight are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to trip planning. In addition, travel agents favor services and establishments that provide benefits and payments to them (e.g. commissions, etc.) so you may not be receiving the full scope of what is out there for you. For example, certain hotels allow you to enter a travel agent ID # when booking a room for a client, and others do not have this service on their website or have discontinued it entirely, due to the change in times. You may not be informed of these other choices due to the fact that they do not offer a commission to your agent. Since we are not working on a commission -driven basis, we can offer unbiased results, and in many cases, a wider variety of choices. We can give you all the information you need to book it yourself, and you don’t have to pay the extra fees! We take the leg work out of trip planning, and in the long run, save you hundreds of dollars (or more) for using our service over that of an agent. In addition, we will book reservations for you that do not require payment (for example, restaurants), something that many travel agents do not even offer. All this for one low, up-front cost with no hidden fees or charges.

Why do I pay before I receive the itinerary?

We are providing a service to you, and we must protect ourselves by ensuring payment is received prior to the hours and days of research and planning we endure. We are real people working for you. We accept Paypal as our only form of payment (no e-checks accepted) for your security as well as ours. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

What if I cancel my vacation--can I get a refund?

Regardless of the outcome of your trip and whether or not you actually go on your planned vacation, the fee you are paying for is a service fee--the service of researching and planning your desired trip. Even if you have to cancel, the research has already been done and the service has already been provided, and we need to be rightly compensated for our efforts.

Do you refund my money if I am unhappy with my vacation after the fact?

Sorry, because we cannot physically control each and every event on your trip, we cannot offer refunds based on the outcome. We pride ourselves on our research skills and resources, and while we are completely confident that we are giving you the best choices for your needs, there are things that are simply out of our control. If you feel that your experience in any part of your trip was less than satisfactory, your comments and concerns should go directly to the establishment’s owner or manager. We are in no way affiliated with the companies we research and recommend, therefore we cannot be held liable. It is important to always remember that we are handing you the choices and you are making the final selection on each and every matter of your trip. We cannot be held liable for anything that may or may not occur on your vacation.

In the event that things do not go as expected on your trip and you are unhappy with something we recommended for you, we will be happy to provide you with a discount on your next trip planned with us. In addition, please inform us of your issue in detail and we will be sure to avoid recommending that business in the future. Just let us know!

What exactly am I paying for?

An actual person (not an automated search engine or “canned” itinerary) researching the trip of your choice. We will provide you with several options for every aspect of your vacation, presented to you in an online “travel menu”. These options will be customized based on your budget, requests, capabilities, and needs. Once you have selected the final preferences, we create a customized, detailed travel itinerary just for you. It will include all necessary information for contacting and making reservations, as well as estimated prices, if you so choose. Certain packages also contain extra services or bonuses (see packages for details). You will receive your travel menu within 5 business days and your final itinerary within 5 business days of receipt of your ultimate choices*.

Have you been to all the places you recommend?

Unfortunately, as much as we would love to have done so, there is no way! We rely on a combination of sources and multiple customer reviews to help us make the best decisions for your itinerary. Occasionally, we may have a personal recommendation based on our own experiences or that of a close family member or friend.
